29th September Update
Before I begin, I must say that I am a big fan of Guild Wars, and I have been playing it for a long time! After completing, and doing everything I wanted to do with the game, I took to farming the UW and helping new players. After one update, I could only farm so far with my invinci monk, but this update takes the biscuit. It is no longer possible, and if it is, and some one knows a new build or style that works, please get in touch, because I havnt found a way! Balthazars Aura now takes too long to cast and recharge, and as Spell Breaker is required, I cant see a way round this. They have changed Balthz.. Aura because of PVP, so why cant 2 sets of rules be created - 1 for pvp and 1 for PVE?! It was fun, and was a truly great game before this update... On that note, I am uninstalling GW from my machine, and back to CS it is!! And im sure many are doing the same!

No, they're not. They're saving the whining (or taking it to the existing
thread) and finding ways around it. The invinvimonk is still quite possible.
Just spam your other buffs again like mending and such so they get
interrupted then throw off Balthazar's Aura uninterrupted. Duh.

no1 cares quit complaining, thats y there is taems cus u dam monks have this attitude i can solo the world. Monks were underrated for a while then got overrated, now there where they deserve to be, in the middle. It is possible to solo, just dig up info, and if your unistaling it ur a dum person, waste of money time and effort. Dont get all pissed about 1 thing, there is more than 1 class. I still solo all stuff with balthz aura, so if u have a problem cus u cant solo, get a taem thats wat they are there for.
Best Regards,
Genocide Smiter.

Good solo monks are dumb and shouldn't be in the game anyway. Suck it up and stop saying how you don't like gw anymore cause that's what everyone says and it's just trash. "Oh I love gw but now they've nerfed my favoirite build and I'm mad." Yeah I've heard all the time dude...

edi: Solo farming is harder now, but still possible. Maybe even MORE fun because of the added challenge.

LoL, Iono what you guys are saying but A LOT OF PEOPLE have quit. and I think that ANET should care if people quit.
Look at the districts, specially LA, the capital trading capital of tyria. its not justbecause school started. Anet keeps nerfing this and that and this and that, whenever someone finds something really good, anet nerfs it (such as invicimonks..hello..someone thought about the build, it just didnt come out of nowhere)
I dont play gw as much anymore... specially when these things happened, i found gw more and more disappointing, because people who worked hard for their items were the ones that got scrwed over.
#1. Remember the trader item restart - when ectos were like 500g.
#2. Nerfing Prot Bond
#3. Green Items
if you're still not over that invicimonk, and i bet you're happy now, you're just jealous cuz u couldnt make one urself.
dont go "cuz thye can solo uw". warriors can solo, ele can. if u cant solo, its ur fault for choosing aclass that can. some ppl create mesmers or necros because its a fun pve char, well ,most people created more monks after the 55 monkb uild became public. and being a monk in pve is probably the least fun to play. so it all balances out
u cant have it all, dont complain because u can solo.

yeah, there's not much trading happening going on i haven't really gotten into trading, in LA now all you see is junk green items a lot of the traders who you would normaly see in LA for hours trading have gone to do pvp cuz that's pretty much only thing there is to do anymore, you can still farm with you just have to find a place that you can call your own

I agree here...It took someone willing enough and smart enough to figure out about the invinci monk build...obviously it didnt just happen...the way i figure it is if u figure out a trick without cheating such as hacking why not use it to ur advantage
...but no, u got lil noobs who cry cause they are to lazy to figure shit out for themselves...
what i dont understand is why bitch about ppl who use a invinci monk...big deal...MAKE UR OWN GOD DAMN INVINCI MONK....instead of ruining game play for other players

^^true dat!
However... in the "big update" which brought us Sorrow's Furnace, Green Items, PvP rule changes and many skill changes...one wonders if that wasnt an indicator of a desperate attempt to revitalize the game to those currently playing. Well, maybe not for PvP, but it did seemed like a big effort to revamp the PvE realm.
Most that i know in GW, rarely do PvE anymore, due to the fact that everything keeps changing. Change can be good, except when things are truely nerfed it becomes too discouraging. As someone already said, for those who have worked so hard to attaine certain items, established an effective build or learned great strategies, they have only to look foward to having to completely overhaul all that they have worked for each time another patch comes to nerf the whole game. Rather than change dynamics, GW should have ADDITIONS. Yes it would probably take more work then simple changes in order to maintain balances, but it would better serve to keep the game afloat..
Take for example Diablo2...an OLD old old old game by today's standards. but HEY! its still going strong with thousands of people still playing!! why?? because Blizzard knows how to keep things exciting! I had played for two years...and NEVER got bored of it for two reasons. One:: they didnt change game, skill, pvp, or economy dynamics...Two:: they only ADDEd things in updates which served to stimulate PvE gameplay and the game in general.
dont get me wrong i still enjoy GW overall. But i find myself too often disappointed once i have achieved any goals. I think Anet needs to rethink how they "improve" the game through updates...

Just curious, but how would the number go down? There is no monthly fee, so if someone just stops playing...then there ya go. They stop, account is still there, right? So if more and more people quit, but a few people buy the game every month, then the number of accounts continues to grow.

If you don't think just having the fragment "invinci" in front of anything is a problem, go play some single person game with god mode on.
